We’re hugely proud to welcome back d3t to Grads in Games for the 2020/21 academic year, now as our headline partner!

d3t are a long-time supporter of Grads in Games and we’re very excited for their involvement in our new Get in the Game and Search for a Star initiatives. We’re also pleased to announce this years Rising Star game dev challenge will now be the d3t Rising Star challenge.

Founded in 2011, and joining the Keywords Studios group in 2017, d3t have partnered on many projects, including with 2K, the BBC, Sony and Sega. d3t’s skill and experience is channeled into a wide variety of games, most recently in development of Mafia II : Definitive Edition.

Sumo Digital

We are once again happy to announce that Sumo Digital has returned as a Grads in Games studio partner for the 2020/21 academic year!

Sumo Digital have been a key supporter and partner of Grads in Games for several years now. They have proven to be a significant employer for graduates over the years, regularly welcoming many Search For A Star winners and finalists into their first games industry roles.

Sumo Digital was founded back in 2003 and has grown to be one of the UK’s leading games development companies with nine studios and over 700 employees. Working with a range of high profile clients has allowed Sumo to develop multiple successful AAA titles including LittleBigPlanet 3Crackdown 3 and Team Sonic Racing, to name a few. Currently, they are working on the highly anticipated Hotshot RacingHood: Outlaws & Legends and Sackboy: A Big Adventure amongst many other exciting projects.

nDreams

We are very happy to announce that nDreams will be returning once again as a studio partner for the 2020/21 academic year!

nDreams are an award-winning virtual reality developer and publisher. As one of the biggest and most experienced VR studios in the world, their rich heritage in games development leads the way in building interactive and immersive content for consumer headsets and location-based entertainment. Their latest title, Phantom: Covert Ops, redefines stealth action games for virtual reality and won a number of awards, including the prestigious “Best of E3 Award” within the VR/AR category.

Now entering their 5th year as a supporter of Grads in Games, nDreams are proving year after year that they are a fantastic destination for graduates in the games industry.

Founded in 2001, NaturalMotion’s hit games include CSR Racing 2Dawn of Titans and they’re also extremely proud to be developing all-new Star Wars mobile games in their London and Brighton studios. In both 2018 & 2019, NaturalMotion studios were listed as one of the Best Places To Work in the UK video games industry at the Gamesindustry.biz Awards.

NaturalMotion have been a long standing supporter of Grads in Games, regularly joining us on our Get in the Game initiative and taking part in Search for a Star. We are very pleased they have returned to partner with us once again and we can’t wait to get started with them.

Grads In Games 2020/21 Partner Deep Silver Dambuster Studios

A very warm welcome to Deep Silver Dambuster Studios, who are joining Grads in Games as a studio partner for the 2020/21 academic year!

DS Dambuster Studios are a brand new partner for this year, and we’re very much looking forward to working with a studio with such a rich heritage across the UK games industry.

Founded in the late 90’s as Free Radical Design, Deep Silver Dambuster’s heritage can be traced back to their hugely popular debut title for the Playstation 2; TimeSplitters. Over the years they have built on their console and PC development experience with titles like the Crysis series and Homefront: The Revolution. They are now developing the next installment in the highly successful Dead Island series of games.

We are very happy to announce that DPS Games will be joining us as a studio partner for the 2020/21 academic year!

Newly re-branded DPS Games is a proud member of the Wargaming family and home to a great deal of passion and love for video games. Founded in Guildford, UK, DPS Games is a globally distributed development studio, dedicated to building new games which are action packed, and universally loved. We’ve been through a lot to get here – and like Tanks we’ve bounced a lot of damage, but now we’re ready to make some mayhem of our own

Previously known as Wargaming UK, you will most likely know them through the highly successful World of Tanks series.

A very warm welcome to Frontier Developments, joining Grads in Games as a studio partner for the 2020/21 academic year!

Frontier Developments are another new partner for 2021, though have been a supporter of Search For A Star for quite some time through our assessment teams and our student conferences. They’ve also been a key employer for graduates over the years, with several Search For A Star winners and finalists finding their first games industry role with Frontier!

Founded in 1994, they have thrived over the subsequent three decades building a uniquely diverse catalogue of games. Headquartered in Cambridge, they now have over 400 employees producing work for globally renowned partners as well as their own IP. They are known for developing games across multiple platforms using their own cross-platform technology, Cobra. Hit titles include; Planet ZooElite Dangerous and Jurassic World Evolution.

Firesprite

Welcome back to Firesprite, joining us as a Grads in Games studio partner for the 2020/21 academic year!

The leading Liverpool studio has been with Grads In Games for three years now and have been a key part of our Get In The Game careers events and Search For A Star gamedev challenges. Firesprite are a strong supporter of improving graduate employability and their work and support has been instrumental in helping graduates find their first role in the games industry.

Firesprite are one of the fastest growing studios in the UK, having recently released The Persistence VR & The Persistence across multiple platforms, and now working on exciting new projects. We’re very proud to have them join us once again as a Grads In Games partner.

A very warm welcome to Tonic Games Group who are joining Grads in Games as a studio partner for the 2020/21 academic year!

Fresh off the hugely successful release of Fall Guys, the team at Tonic Games are now shifting focus to assist us with developing the next generation of game developers.

Now 300 people strong with 7 offices situated around the world, Tonic Games are a development and publishing group who believe that games are for everyone.

With recognisable brands such as Mediatonic, Irregular Corporation and Fortitude Games, we are hugely excited to get started with them on our initiatives.

Airship Images Jobs | Grads In Games

A very warm welcome to Airship Images who are joining Grads in Games as a studio partner for the 2020/21 academic year!

Airship Images are a brand new partner for this year, and we’re very much looking forward to working with a studio with such a broad range of experience in the industry.

As an art outsourcing company Airship bring a different perspective of the games industry to the table. They have a wealth of experience working with studios such as Playground Games, Microsoft Game Studios and Ubisoft developing characters for some of the biggest games in the world such as Star Wars:Jedi Fallen Order, Forza Horizon 4 and Battlefield V.

Red Kite Games

We are very happy to announce that Red Kite Games will be returning as a Grads in Games studio partner for the 2020/21 academic year!

Red Kite Games have been a key partner of Grads in Games for many years and have proven to be a significant employer of graduates during this time, regularly welcoming many Search For A Star winners and finalists into their first games industry roles.

Based in Leeds, the Red Kite team possess an established pedigree for producing top quality games with members who have been instrumental in producing some of the biggest titles of the past two decades for the likes of Rockstar, Activision, Sony, Sumo Digital, Double Eleven, Bizarre Creations and The Blast Furnace.

Recent work includes titles such as God of War 3: RemasteredCall of Duty: Strike Team Dirt 4 and Two Point Hospital.

Another new partner for 2020/21, Steel City Interactive are an independen studio who are passionate about two things, making games and boxing!

Based in Sheffield, they are currently working on a new unreleased title but the core team has experience in a variety of lead roles developing blockbuster titles for major AAA studios over the last 2 decades.
