You’ve had a rough year, but you haven’t let it stop you. As the world closed down, your motivation opened up even more and you’ve spent your time wisely, improving your code and working hard at your portfolio.
You understand how important it is to get ahead of the pack, and you’re on the hunt for your grad job earlier than most. What you need now is a pioneering studio with a strong history of supporting and developing graduates into the best junior programmers they can be!
I’m working with Red Kite Games, a fantastic studio based in Leeds. As one of the UK’s leading studios, and part of the Sumo group, you will definitely have heard of some of the great titles they’ve worked on, including God of War: Remastered, Call of Duty: Strike Team, Mafia III: Definitive Edition, and many more!
As a Junior Programmer, you will be working in C++ to create gameplay across a variety of projects. You’ll be part of a large, multi-disciplinary team and will work alongside artists, designers, and senior programmers to create high-quality games on a variety of platforms.
The skills and XP you’ll need to succeed:
- Strong C++ skills
- Unreal Engine 4 experience
- A great portfolio of C++ and C# projects
- A degree in a programming related discipline (preferably 1st class, but a high 2.1 will be considered)
The salary on offer is industry-standard and dependent on experience. If the chance to work on exciting gameplay for a variety of AAA projects sounds amazing to you, then drop a CV and portfolio across to me!
