Get In The Game

Get in the Game is the extensive nationwide tour of university careers talks from Grads In Games, delivered to hundreds of educators & 3000 Computer Science & Games Development students.

With direct support from the games industry, the tour delivers talks from specialist games recruiters Aardvark Swift alongside representatives from UK games studios. The tour speaks to courses focused on the games industry – Computer Science, Games Programming, Games Art, Animation, VFX, Game Design, Games Development and more.

We deliver careers guidance on the key skills required by games studios and their expectations from graduate developers. The talks are a unique opportunity for students to learn about the industry straight from games professionals.

Across our 2016 tour we were joined by guest speakers from studios including Boss Alien, Playground Games, Rebellion, AMD, Cloud Imperium, GaaSworks, Futurlab, Red Kite Games, VeeMee, Inertia Games, Beta Jester & more.

The talks are designed to highlight the benefits and reality of a career in video games development, giving students the guidance they need on how to prepare themselves & improve their employability.

Get In The Game provides students with direct guidance on :

  • How to maximise your chances of securing your first industry role.
  • CV, Portfolio and Demo Advice.
  • Interview Techniques.
  • Technical and practical knowledge required by studios.
  • How to increase your employability.

The advice and information we provide is both experiential & based directly on feedback from studios from our annual graduate recruitment survey of UK games developers.

We’re currently busy planning our 2017 tour, but if you’re a university, potential sponsor, or member of industry who wants to get involved, we’d love to hear from you! Contact Molly Charlesworth for more information on 01709834777 or email at
