With direct support from the games industry, the tour delivers talks, advice and workshops from specialist games recruiters Aardvark Swift and representatives from UK games studios. This is a unique opportunity for students to learn about the industry and how to make themselves stand out, straight from games professionals.

Our audience is a strong majority of students from UK Universities, typically studying or soon to graduate from courses across Computer Science, Games Programming, Games Art, Animation and VFX. We visit between 30 and 60 universities each year, depending on availability, meeting up to 3000 students in the next generation of the games industry.

During last year’s tour we were joined by guest speakers from studios including Boss Alien, nDreams, Playground Games, Rebellion, AMD, Futurlab, Red Kite Games & more.

The core Get In The Game careers session is based directly on feedback from studios who take part in our annual graduate recruitment survey of the UK game industry. The talks highlight the benefits and reality of a career in video games development, giving students the guidance they need on how to prepare themselves & improve their employability.

We’re still adding to the 2018 tour, so if you’re a university, interested in sponsoring, or a member of industry who wants to get involved, we’d love to hear from you! Contact Sharan Bassi for more information on 01709834777 or email at sharan@aswift.com.
