Grads In Games; Our New Studio Starters for July
Last month three excellent Grads In Games programming students started their new studio roles! All three came to our Get In The Game careers and took part in our SFASX game dev challenges — it’s no surprise that they’ve been noticed and hired by studios that are also heavily involved in the work we do!
Congratulations to Jakob, Justyna and Moses on your new roles in the games industry!
Jakob Asgaard
Congratulations to Jakob, beginning an exciting 12-month internship as a programmer with our partner studio NaturalMotion!
Jakob first came along to our Get In The Game tour at Westminster University back in 2018, and has entered our Rising Star challenge each year since. This year, he made it all the way through to the Game Programming Finals after showing great technical skill in his Crafty Towers game project.
With help from Andy on the Grads In Games team, Jakob interviewed with NaturalMotion and earned a fantastic spot at the studio!
Justyna Kwiatkowska
Well done to Justyna who has also started a 12-month programming internship, with our partner studio TT Games!
After joining us at our Get In The Game careers event at the university of Central Lancashire last year, Justyna took part in Sumo Digital Rising Star for the first time. With an exceptional display of dev knowledge, she achieved the highest score in the game development challenge for The Catgeon (beating even the final year students!) before going on to win the whole thing as our Rising Star 2020 winner!
After working with Tom on our recruitment team, Justyna interviewed with TT Games and gained a fantastic internship!
Moses Noxolo
Congratulations to Moses, who has graduated from Goldsmiths and is now a Junior Programmer with our Search For A Star judges at Well Played Games!
Moses first came to our Get In The Game careers talk at Goldsmiths way back in 2017, and this year took part in our tenth anniversary Search For A Star game dev challenges. Already a prolific game developer with an excellent games portfolio, Moses’ Advance of the Winter Orcs game project impressed our assessors and earned him a One To Watch award!
Working with Becky at Grads In Games, Moses interviewed with Well Played Games and has now started an outstanding role with the studio!
