Stellar Entertainment – Guildford, UK
You’re a complex, multi-faceted person. Your passion is working on the technical art for great games, but you also have multiple other hobbies. You care about spending as much time with your family and friends as possible. You want to work as hard as you can whilst still leaving time for self-care, relaxation, and socialising.
It seems simple in principle, but not every studio sees things quite the way you do. You want the perfect balance, the Yin and Yang. The good news for you is that this exact ethos is at the heart of the company culture of the studio I’m working with!
Stellar Entertainment, based in the heart of the gaming hub of Guildford, is searching high and low for a fantastic Junior Technical Artist to join them! Currently, the studio is working on a major AAA title in collaboration with a huge developer and publisher. They’re lining up several AAA next-gen titles too! Could you help them shine?
For this role, you could be a recent graduate, needing a bit more support and development, or already be working within the industry, wanting to level up to a varied role with more responsibility.
The skills and XP you’ll need to succeed include:
- Capable with VFX in UE4 and Houdini
- Competent with tools creation in Houdini
- Able to script in Python and/or C++
- Confident with rigging and hard-surface animation
- Talented with UE4 Blueprints
- Can make the most of lighting and performance
You’ll need a portfolio or showreel showcasing your skills. The salary on offer is negotiable and dependent on experience.
Sounds utterly delicious, right? You’ll be part of a hands-on team, with a no-crunch mentality, whose motivation to get up in the morning is to work with like-minded people on the games of their dreams! How could you possibly say no?
