Staffordshire University Surges ahead as 1000 Game Dev Students Join SFASX
It’s been a record matching year for sign-ups with 1000 game dev students joining SFASX! If you’ve signed up to either Search for a Star or Sumo Digital Rising Star, you’ve already taken an important first step to get you and your work seen by industry professionals.
First of all, a very well done to you! You’re pushing forward with getting yourself that dream job you’ve always wanted by creating a portfolio ready game or game asset. Alongside the challenge series itself, we will be on hand to answer any of your burning questions and to ensure you’re as prepared to enter the industry as you can be.
If you haven’t sent your CV across to us, please do! Our graduate specialists will provide guidance and support to ensure your CV is up to industry standard. Nailing your CV and portfolio is crucial and will get you that all important first interview. As for sign-up numbers; the results are in! Staffordshire University, one of the top UK Unis for games, surged ahead within the final week and topped the table by quite a margin. Past pupils of Staffordshire went on to win Best British Game at the BAFTAs this year! University of Huddersfield, an annually strong contender, also finished strongly with the University of Hertfordshire also breaking into the top five!
