Get In The Game 2020: Week Two
We had a packed week with our Get In The Game careers events! With four webinars last week it was a pleasure to speak to over a thousand students across programming, art, animation and VFX.
The Grads In Games team spoke about just what it takes for students to get their career started in the games industry, and were joined by guest speakers Greg Booker, Game Lead at DPS Games; Ted O’Reilly, Technical Artist at d3t; Louise Andrew, Art Manager at d3t; Aaron Miller, Senior Principal VFX Artist at nDreams.
From the technical skills you need to get noticed by hiring managers, to just what to have on your CV and portfolio, the talks cover a range of things that will really help you to improve your employability and career prospects in such a competitive field.
Our speakers were also able to share their own experiential advice into working in games, as well as key insights into their own career journeys.
