As well as making their own games, Exient also provide games and development services, including offering detailed free-to-play consultancy for publishers on their console IP. They also provide huge support to our Grads in Games initiative and Search for a Star competition. This year, their Principle Artist Adam Chilton joined our panel of judges on art finals day in Staffordshire, where he helped to assess the finalists’ work and interview performance.
For code finals day, Technical Director Tim Page joined us at Microsoft to deliver a talk and act as a mentor to the students who attended. In his talk ‘Gold Jet Skis: Live Ops and Online Services for Mobile Games’, Tim discussed developing for mobile platforms and outlined the characteristics Exient value in mobile developers, such as creativity and curiosity. The talk finished with a Q&A session, in which students and industry colleagues were able to ask Tim about Exient’s games and hiring processes.
Tim told us “We’re always eager to support the Search for a Star competition and we’re always impressed by the enthusiasm and talent of the students”.
We’re just as eager to have Exient’s ongoing support and enthusiasm for our students and graduates!
