nDreams are the UK’s largest developer and publisher of virtual reality games and experiences.

Their journey began in 2006 when they quickly established themselves as the leading publisher in PlayStation Home and as a developer of several major alternate reality games.

When the Oculus Rift and Sony’s Project Morpheus burst into existence in 2013, they threw themselves into the immersive world of VR, and they haven’t looked back since! They’ve made VR titles for all the leading platforms, including Oculus Rift, HTC Vive, Sony PlayStation VR, Samsung Gear VR and Google Cardboard.

“Initiatives like Grads In Games are crucial to foster the next generation of games industry talent”

So far they’ve released 6 games titles, including;

  • The Assembly
  • Gunner
  • Perfect
  • SkyDIEving

Their most recent title, The Assembly, a first-person interactive, narrative-driven game, has received positive reviews for its exploration with VR, with critics describing it to be ‘a very enjoyable experience within its genre’ (VR Focus) and ‘a breezy adventure with some enjoyably chewy sci-fi at its heart, emboldened by its use of VR as an immersive window on another world’ (Eurogamer).

The last year has been a successful year for nDreams who have received a $3 million investment from Mercia Technologies PLC. The year also saw them showcase The Assembly at one of the UK’s largest game expos, EGX in Birmingham.

The teamĀ are currently working on multiple, exciting unannounced projects, including two launch titles for Google’s Daydream platform, and we’re excited to see what the team will come up with next!

“We’re delighted to be partnering with Aardvark Swift on the Grads In Games programme for 2017,” says Company Secretary & HR Manager Tamsin O’Luanaigh. “We think initiatives like this are crucial to foster the next generation of games industry talent, bring on board fresh perspectives and new ideas, as well as open the door for that raw talent that we as developers rely upon.”

We’re thrilled to have nDreams as a Grads In Games partner, and look forward to their involvement with our university tour and competitions!
