Games Careers Week is returning this year!

February 22, 2022February 22, 2022 Harry Stainer 0
We are proud to anounce that Grads in Games will be returning for the 2nd year of Games Careers Week.

Alongside The BGI & Into Games we are proud to announce that the second annual Games Careers Week will be returning between 17th – 26th June 2022.

Launched in 2021, Games Careers Week is a free celebration of games careers, with nationwide online events. Over 120 organisations joined 32 events in 2021 reaching nearly 40,000 young people, parents, learners, teachers, and job-seekers; to showcase the skills, pathways, and potential of games careers with the aim of increasing diversity in the sector.

This year sees the Universities of Bournemouth, Glasgow Caledonian, Wrexham Glyndwr, Teesside and Staffordshire joining the National Videogame Museum in Sheffield and ELAM to host face to face events such as career clinics, games industry panels, competitions and workshops. This will be alongside a number of online events, by partners such as Ukie Education, Sumo Digital, Gamesindustry.biz, Electric Square, Creative Assembly, nDreams, Rare, Hangar 13 and many more.

On 8th March, at 4pm, we are inviting all those interested in getting involved with the festival to join our online Town Hall meeting.

During this meeting, we will be sharing more information on the 2022 festival, providing examples of inspirational online events from 2021, and sharing how venues and organisations can host events in their regions or stream their own events

We can’t wait to showcase what we have in store in the coming months including some intresting panel & in-person events!
