Grads In Games partnering with GamesEd20, bringing together games educators & the games industry

August 21, 2020August 21, 2020 James Bowers 0

Now re-established as a virtual conference, GamesEd20 returns on Tuesday 8th September with the aim of helping to bridge the gap between the games industry and educators. Produced by the British Games Institute, GamesEd20 will bring together leaders across the games industry & academia, tackling challenges across employability, diversity, skill diversification, apprenticeships and work placements within the games industry.

We’re very proud for Grads In Games to once again partner with GamesEd20. We’ve got a huge level of crossover in our objectives and it’s a pleasure to support all efforts to improve industry employability & recognition of student talent and ability.

The conversations surrounding strategic issues of importance drive the industry forward, pushing it on the path of continued improvement. Building upon the inaugural event last year, 2020 will be a more interactive affair containing workshops, career clinics and talks. GamesEd enables more collaboration, dialogue and best practice sharing between the education sector, both FE and HE courses, and the professional industry. A key feature of this year’s event will, unsurprisingly, also be the effect and response of the COVID 19 pandemic on the education sector.

Ian Goodall, Grads In Games founder, will be taking part in the opening session of the day,  joining senior games educators and studios to discuss their response to the major challenges of Covid and Brexit.
