September 21, 2021September 21, 2021 Dan Dudley 0

A very warm welcome to Playtonic who are joining Grads in Games as a studio partner for the 2021/22 academic year!

Playtonic is an independent videogame developer and creators of the excellent Yooka-Laylee series of games, and they also branded out into the realm of publishing in early 2021 with Playtonic Friends. Their ethos as a company is to create and publish fun and exciting games for everyone.

Originally founded by creative talent behind some of the most popular platform games of the past (including Donkey Kong Country and Banjo-Kazooie), Playtonic have expanded their team to include a wide range of people from varied walks of life.

“Partnering with Grads in Games is an exciting opportunity for Playtonic games as we share the same passion and commitment for nurturing and developing new talent in the UK. We’re looking forward to our involvement in being able to inspire and inform graduates and educational facilities, working together to develop the next generations of home-grown world-class game development talent.”

Chris Sutherland – Project Director at Playtonic Games
