Student Conference 2021 speaker: Fawzi Mesmar
We’re very pleased to welcome Fawzi Mesmar to this year’s Grads In Games Student Conference! Fawzi is the Head of Design at EA DICE, with a prestigious 18 year career across numerous leading titles.
The latest confirmed speaker for the Grads in Games Student Conference on March 29th will be sharing experiences from his career in the video games industry, as a designer and director across a range of AAA and genre-defining titles.
Fawzi Mesmar is a award winning Game designer, leader, author, public speaker and retired e-sports player that has been in the gaming industry for over 18 years. His career has spanned The Middle East, New Zealand, Japan and Europe working for companies such as DICE (EA), King (Activision Blizzard), Gameloft and Atlus Ltd to name a few.
As a game designer / Director he has worked on over 20 titles that have been enjoyed by millions of players worldwide including entries in Battlefield, Persona and Candy Crush franchises.
For the Grads In Game Student Conference, Fawzi will be sharing his expert insight on the creative process of designing games. The talk will discuss what game ideas are, where they come from and how can we come up with better ideas. He will also look at originality in games and how can we become more original in creating video games, as well as presenting key ways to become more creative in our work.
There will be a 15 minute Q&A for anyone to ask Fawzi about his talk on the creative process, his work, and whatever you like about working in the video games industry.
