The Grads in Games Awards 2021 – The Industry Advocate Award Winner is Revealed!

March 31, 2021March 31, 2021 Andy Driver 0

The Industry Advocate award is a new one for 2021 and is designed to showcase those individuals currently working in the games industry, that demonstrate a positive and pro-active approach to supporting students and graduates. These are the people presenting talks at universities and colleges, mentoring students, providing portfolio reviews and attending expo days and fairs.

We can now reveal that this years’ winner is Alison Clark of Outplay Entertainment.

Alison relentlessly seeks out and supports opportunities that enable Outplay to share their career opportunities with students and is always focused on creating ways to promote inclusion and accessibility to all.

She is a Women in Games ambassador who regular attends events and workshops but also manages and delivers diversity initiatives such as the code coven internship programme, providing diverse industry mentors to support across the 11 week project. Additionally she is also an ambassador as part of the VGA scheme, supporting young people and students with regular careers talks, game jams and masterclasses.

Outside of these official schemes, Alison spends her time hosting workshops, managing apprenticeship and graduate schemes and working with universities to provide industry feedback and mentoring.

Congratulations to Alison for this fantastic achievement!
