The first round for Search For A Star and Rising Star is now officially closed for all artist and programmers.

624 Students over 75 different universities both in the UK and internationally competed, with Sheffield Hallam University, Staffordshire University, UCLAN,  and the University of Hertfordshire providing a large amount of contestants each.

The first round saw 405 coders compete against each other in a C++ HackerRank test, while 219 artists produced a portfolio piece in their chosen specialist area: Character, Environment, Animation or VFX in the second year of our art competition.

Judging is now underway for all competitions to decide who will go through to the second round. Good luck to everyone!
