Game Design Projects | Search For A Star 2024

6 March 20246 March 2024 Dan Dudley 0

Check out our Game Design student projects for Search For A Star & Rising Star 2024!

For their Search For A Star projects, our student designers were asked to create a design doc and prototype to an industry brief developed by 10:10 Games, with the goal of designing a game that “successfully combines two ideas that don’t typically feature together in games”. Students could choose their own style and creative direction, as well as picking their own ideas to combine.

A huge congratulations to everyone who submitted their projects, and well done to everyone who took part!

Our assessment team of game designers from across the industry reviewed all of the project submissions and provided feedback, with the highest achieving students chosen as finalists to move forward to our finals day event in April.

The Search For A Star challenges are run by Grads In Games with the support of our our studio partners at d3t, 10:10 Games, Red Kite Games, Furious Bee, Steel City Interactive, PlusMusic, our supporting partners at XR Games, The National Videogame Museum and Sheffield Hallam University, our prize providers Adobe, and our recruitment partners at Aardvark Swift
