Studio Spotlight 2021: Red Kite Games
Red Kite Games are a multi-award-winning studio taking on work-for-hire, co-development and original IP projects. Established nearly a decade ago Red Kite has established a reputation within the industry for delivering a high-quality service creating AAA PC/console games across varying genres.
Founded in 2012 by former Rockstar developer Simon Iwaniszak the studio began in Huddersfield, West Yorkshire and cut its teeth on projects such as God of War III: Remastered and DiRT 4.
In February 2019 Red Kite was acquired by Sumo Digital following years of close collaboration on a number of projects. Following the acquisition, the studio worked closely with the wider Sumo Digital family on numerous titles including Crackdown 3, Payday 2 and Team Sonic Racing.
In November 2019 Red Kite relocated to a bigger office in the centre of Leeds. Following an extensive renovation, the studio in the beautiful Grade-II listed Park Row House is now home to more than 60 brilliant people with room for more.
More recently Red Kite have worked on 2K’s Mafia series, Control: Ultimate Edition, Two Point Hospital, Battletoads and Knockout City. Red Kite is currently working on multiple high-profile games for current-gen and new-gen platforms as well as developing the studio’s first original IP.
Red Kite is focused on providing high quality projects, the right work-life balance and recognition and reward.
