Student Conference 2021 speaker: Jessie Thomson
We’re very pleased to welcome Jessie Thomson to this year’s Grads In Games Student Conference! Jessie is an Animation Programmer at Cloud Imperium Games, working across AI and animation.
The latest confirmed speaker for the Grads in Games Student Conference on March 29th will be sharing experiences from their career in the video games industry, as an Animation Programmer on one of the most highly anticipated games ever.
Jessie works as an animation programmer at Cloud Imperium Games and has a background in machine learning and computer vision. Since completing her PhD in 2016, Jessie has worked in various AI and animation programming related jobs until starting at CIG last year. Jessie is an avid gamer although with a 2 year old, a full-time job and extra hobbies, she says that completing games feels like a pipe dream!
Jessie will be speaking at the conference about her journey from university graduate through to animation programmer at Cloud Imperium Games, offering personal insight and knowledge from her experiences that have helped her along the way.
After the talk, there will be a 15 minute Q&A for you to ask Jessie about her journey, work as a programmer, and whatever you like about working in the video games industry.
