Introduction to Get In The Game 2014

September 12, 2014June 22, 2023 Dan Dudley 0

Hi everyone! Welcome to the first ever post from the Get in the Game Tour Diary.

It’s just over a month until we set off on our tour, visiting universities up and down the UK to explain what it really takes to make it in a very competitive Games Industry. With over 25 years experience in the industry, we know a thing or two that will make you more employable in this industry.

This years’ tour is shaping up to be bigger and better than ever! Microsoft has already confirmed they will be joining us on our journey, and we have a number of our studio partners being lined up to explain what its really like working for a games studio coming straight from the horses mouth  which will shortly be announced. Be sure to check out updates to see who these guest speakers will be and if they will be arriving at your university.

Tour legs have been confirmed, with more universities being booked in these weeks. See Below to see when we are coming to your area:

Scotland and North East – Week Commencing 20th October 2014

Yorkshire – Week Commencing 27th October 2014

Midlands – Week Commencing 3rd November 2014

London – Week Commencing 10th November 2014

North West and Wales – Week Commencing 24th November 2014

South West – Week Commencing 1st December 2014

During these couple of months we will be reporting on the road, adding to this diary giving updates on which talks we have done, which studios joined us, how they went etc. We will be sharing lots and lots of pictures and will be making the most of our experiences on the road. While hopefully getting through to students and helping them understand better what it really takes to ‘Get in the Game’.

Make sure you have a look at our tour calendar to see if we are visiting your university during the tour. If so, this is a great opportunity to learn from industry experts exactly how to get the career you want. Hopefully we’ll see you soon!
