An Important Update From Grads in Games

March 12, 2020March 12, 2020 James Bowers 0
As you’ll no doubt already be aware, COVID-19 (Coronavirus) is causing delays and issues for events across the industry. This year the Grads in Games Awards were due to be part of the BGI’s GamesEd20 conference, on April 16th at the National Videogame Museum in Sheffield.

It has now been made public that GamesEd20 has been moved back to September 7th and 8th. In an official statement from BGI, they state this decision was due to the following reason:

‘Coronavirus has impacted the availability of delegates and key contributors to attend in April, and therefore the charity and the Summit’s steering committee has taken the difficult decision to move the Summit to later in the year.’

Due to this, as our awards were due to be part of the conference, we too will be postponing the presentation ceremony until September. It will still be hosted alongside GamesEd20. Further information will follow closer to the time and we just want to take the time to thank everyone who took the time to take part in this initiative this year!

We look forward to bringing praise and recognition to those working hard in video game education soon…
Thank you for your patience and understanding!
