March 10, 2021March 10, 2021 Dan Dudley 0

Welcome Mark Flanagan, Education Program Manager at Epic Games, to this year’s Grads In Games Student Conference!

Mark is the latest confirmed speaker for the Grads in Games Student Conference on March 29th, and will be sharing insight into the next generation of Unreal Engine technology!

Mark is the Education Program Manager at Epic Games with a long and prestigious career across games art, animation, education and more. In recent years he has contributed materials to Pixar’s RenderMan group and Pluralsight, worked with DNeg on projects such as Bladerunner 2049, and with ILM on projects including Star Wars and Marvel Franchises.

His Education Partner Manager role at Epic allows him to bring together his previous experience in empowering educators to prepare their students for the future of interactive media.

Mark’s conference talk will discuss using Unreal Engine for next generation gaming, an area of huge interest for many after seeing the advancements coming with Unreal Engine 5. Mark will be looking primarily at how the latest advances in realtime technology in the Unreal Engine will influence game development.

After the talk, there will be a 15 minute Q&A for you to ask Mark about Unreal Engine, his work with Epic Games, his career journey and whatever you like about game development.

This free student conference will be taking place on Monday March 29th, and if you’re looking to start a career in games is an opportunity you do not want to miss out on.
