Studio Spotlight 2019-20: d3t

January 14, 2020January 14, 2020 James Bowers 0

Founded in 2011 in Cheshire, d3t is at the cutting edge of technology, delivering work-for-hire video game development services to triple-A clients. As a result, they have partnered on projects with the likes of SEGA, Curve Digital, Sony, and Dovetail Games. One of their biggest projects to date includes working on adapting the original source code for Shenmue I & II to bring the games to modern systems (PS4, Xbox One and PC).

They joined us on the Get in the Game university tour, offering their years of experience and industry insight to students across the country. d3t’s skills and experience have been channelled into a wide variety of projects within the games industry over the years and in July of 2019 they celebrated their eighth anniversary.

From only three developers in 2011, the co-development studio now consists of a team of over 80 highly skilled employees who have worked on games such as The Witcher 3, Sega Megadrive Classics, A Knights Quest and Burnout Paradise Remastered.

The studio went on to win Best Places to Work 2019 by Gamesindustry.biz due to the team culture and their anti-crunch mentality.

On top of this, they have a dedication to continual improvement and mentorship, meaning that any developer working for d3t can look forward to future progression opportunities and a positive work culture.
