Congratulations to Elie van Ravels from Howest DAE, our Games VFX winner of Sumo Digital Rising Star 2020!

Elie reached the finals after creating a great VFX sequence for the project stage, impressing our Search For A Star Animation assessors with a complex multi-part shield sequence!

Elie discussed his technical skills, VFX knowledge and ambitions for his future games VFX career, in interview with Pete Clarke, Lead VFX Artist at Sumo Digital, and Kristen Griffin, Senior Technical Artist at Ubisoft.

Our team of expert Games VFX judges said that Elie is fantastic at taking feedback on board, and were impressed at his drive to learn further and improve upon his work.

Our judges also said that Elie was excellent in interview, was great at showing his technical knowledge and able to break down and explain his project really well. We’re certain that Elie will be a fantastic addition to any team currently looking for a VFX intern!
