Partner Spotlight: d3t
Founded in 2011 in Cheshire, d3t is a work-for-hire studio that has contributed to some brilliant projects for the games industry and beyond. As a result, they have partnered on projects with the likes of Boss Key, the BBC, Sony, and SEGA.
They will now be offering up their years of experience and industry insight on the Get in the Game tour and to students attending Search for a Star finals day. d3t’s skills and experience have been channeled into a wide variety of projects within the games industry. Recently, their high profile modernisation of SEGA’s Shenmue and Shenmue II has been received well by fans around the world. The studio is going from strength to strength, offering their services as an independent company without ties to any one IP.
Starting off with only three developers in 2011, the studio now consists of a team of 50 highly skilled employees. Some of the games the studio has worked on include The Witcher 3, The Room and The Escapists 2.
Because of d3t’s work on a wide range and variety of projects the Cheshire-based developers were one of the proud companies to win Gamesindustry.biz and Aardvark Swift’s ‘Best Places to Work 2017’ award. With their diversity in projects, developers never get tired of working on the same projects for too long. Because of this variety, they are considered one of the best studios to work for. Additionally, the company as an anti-crunch mentality and they employ a mentoring ethos to bring out the best in their teams.
