Congratulations to Emily Harrison from Teesside University, our Character Art winner of Search For A Star 2020!
Emily reached the final interview after scoring highly across all criteria in the project stage with her Kid character, as well as achieving the highest Creative score across the challenges. Working her way up through Sumo Digital Rising Star over the past few years, it’s been fantastic to see Emily’s progression culminate in a Search For A Star win this year!
Emily discussed her art, knowledge and ambitions for her future games art career, in interview with Marcus Whinney, Senior Character Artist from nDreams; Mathijs Kapteijn, Character Artist from Sumo Digital; Ashley Riza, 3D Generalist from TT Games.
Our team of expert Character Art judges said that Emily has an excellent portfolio and was very confident throughout the interview, showing an strong passion for art and a real drive to bring her work to the games industry.
